What: Someone just turned up the feelings to "hard gay" [ Significant Positive ]
When: Day 152
Game: Heavy Rain V2.0
What Happens:
-Standing outside overlooking a festival with Makoto, when the following conversation happens
Makoto: "You know... We didn't get to prepare for that relay, so I got a bit frantic. Swimming as hard as I could so the next person could go... But in the process, I remembered what we saw that day. I was happy to swim in a relay with you, with everyone."
Haru: "I'm... not sure anymore."
M: "Huh?"
H: "I don't need a reason to swim. I just need to feel the water. That's what I've always believed. But... When I lost to him, everything became dark. [ hazy feeling of losing to Rin, memory not there yet ] I won't get to swim with Rin again. I didn't care about anything at that point. Not the tournament or anything else. But then I watched you guys swim. I thought, 'I trained hard with these guys.' I might end up being nothing more than filler. But if you guys really wanted to swim in a relay, I would swim. That was when I remembered how it felt to swim in the same lane together, how it felt when everyone was waiting at the finish line. It made me just as happy!"
M: "Haru!"
-then from the sidelines, neither were aware they were there
Nagisa: "Haru-chan! Did you really mean that?"
Makoto: "When did you guys get there?"
Rei: "You have your answer, Haruka-senpai."
Haru: "Nagisa. Rei. Makoto. I want to swim in the relay. I want to swim with you guys! Again!"
Makoto: "Haru!"
-and all the dumb boys agree and talk a little about training and stuff. HAPPY FEELINGS ALL AROUND
What It Means For Him:
Gracious. What it means is a lot of really good Team Feelings. Specifically toward his home team, but also a general sense of working together with people. This has been a really complex thing for him lately, but this should help subdue him a bit. It also should help with his expressing his feelings and grappling with that. When he wants to say what he's feeling, he'll plow ahead with it. Not that it really has stopped him all that much before when he's been determined.
As if his feelings toward Makoto could get any stronger, too. This really enhances his need to be there and work to getting him with him. And with Rin. Even if there's the sense of "I don't need to swim with Rin to be happy" feeling in there, and it hurts to hear that he won't be able to swim with Rin again, in the memory, as far as Kyriakos goes, he knows that isn't true. He and Rin will fight past that. So that doesn't affect things poorly there.
It also makes him really want to learn more about Rei and Nagisa and understand more about their history.
